Biorhythms: We have to do the normal activities at the same
hour:
-Feeding:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time every day.
-Sleep:
it is very important to sleep eight or nine hours a day. It is so important to
start to sleep at 22:00 or 23:00 and get up at 7:00 or 8:00. You need peace and
quiet to sleep, because a correct rest will permit our nervous system to be ready
for the next day.
• Nutritional Habits: It is very important to have
a correct diet, we are growing up, so our nutrition is very important.
Nutrients
are substances containing foods (foods are made of nutrients). The nutrients
include carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, minerals, vitamins and water.
Water: It is very
important, we must drink whenever thirsty. If we exercise we need to drink
before, during and after.
Carbohydrates: We have to
eat a lot of them through food. Foods that have carbohydrates include bread, potatoes,
rice, vegetables and sweets.
Proteins: They can
have vegetable origin, like soja, nuts or vegetables (legumbres)... or animal
origin such us meat, fish, eggs and milk.
Lipids: It is what
we know as fat. It is important to eat a certain amount of fat, but too much is
harmful. They are of animal origin: lard (animal fat) or butter, and plant
origin: olive oil...
Vitamins and
minerals: they must be taken in less quantity than carbohydrates, lipids and
proteins, so they are called micronutrients.
