HISTORY OF RUGBY


 
 
The Rugby was invented by Romans, in The Fifth Century. They named this sport by Harpastrum, in this game, one team had to go, with the ball, from their field to the opposite field doing throwings and catching the other players.

 

Then, in one thousand, in France, people played a game whose name was soule, it was similar to rugby, but, the leyend says that, in 1823, Web Ellis, a boy who lived in an English city whose name is Rugby, was playing football when he caught the ball and had a point, breaking all the rules.
